University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on the Population of Southern Iraq
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on human studies, specifically focusing on demographic analysis of the population of southern Iraq.
The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of demography and its political, cultural, and social role.
The workshop included a lecture presented by researcher Huda Dawood Najm Al-Saad, who explained modern techniques for demographic analysis, interpreted theories and their applications, and discussed the most important results of the 2024 population census.
