University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on the Limits of Digital Surveillance to Protect Privacy
The College of Law at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on the limits of digital surveillance within the framework of protecting the right to privacy.
The workshop aimed to introduce the fundamental principles adopted in national constitutions and laws for the protection of personal data, the imposition of administrative and criminal penalties to protect the flow of information, and the promotion of a culture of open access to information.
The workshop included a lecture presented by Batoul Majeed Jassim, a faculty member at the college, who explained the fundamental principles guaranteed by constitutions and laws, which must be exercised within a secure environment.
