University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Legal Mechanisms for Opening Bank Accounts
The College of Law at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on the legal mechanisms for opening bank accounts and the procedures for regulating them.
The workshop aimed to introduce the legal and regulatory mechanisms for opening accounts to ensure transparency, verify customer identities, and comply with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws.
The workshop included a lecture presented by faculty member Nabaa Ibrahim Farhan, who explained the most prominent mechanisms for verifying customer identity, assessing legal eligibility, and the documents required for company establishment, in addition to obtaining bank approval.
