University of Basrah Organizes a Free Course to Develop Modern Academic Research Skills
The Center for Development and Continuing Education held a free course entitled “Writing Sound Scientific Research According to Modern Academic Standards,” with the participation of a number of researchers and postgraduate students.
The course aimed to develop participants’ skills in preparing scientific research according to modern academic principles, and to enhance their abilities in selecting research problems, formulating objectives and hypotheses, and writing research in a sound scientific style, free from plagiarism.
The course, presented by Dr. Sanaa Abdul-Hamid Ghali and faculty member Zainul-Abidin Sultan Aziz, included an explanation of the fundamentals of academic writing, documentation mechanisms according to the APA7 style, the use of Zotero software, and the integration of artificial intelligence techniques in scientific research, with an emphasis on the ethics of research and publication in reputable scientific journals.
