Book by a University of Basrah Professor on Royal literature Has Been Published
Dr. Nizar Abdul-Muhsin Jaafar, a professor in the College of Arts at the University of Basrah, has published a book entitled "Symbolism Between Implicitness and Explicitness in the Discourse of Royal Literature."
The book contains 258 pages divided into four chapters.
It examines works of royal literature from the Abbasid era, analyzing the symbolic discourse of Ibn al-Muqaffa', al-Jahiz, and Ibn Qutaybah al-Dinawari. It also explores the role of literature in portraying political reality and regulating the relationship between ruler and ruled, while clarifying the concepts of obedience and despotism in the political philosophy of the monarchy.
