University of Basrah Organizes Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Graduate Studies
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized its second annual scientific conference to discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on translation studies, linguistics, and literature.
The conference aimed to highlight the differences between machine translation and human translation across various texts, as well as cultural and religious issues related to evaluating accuracy and fluency in translating religious texts of minority groups, particularly the Sabean-Mandaeans.
The conference included the presentation of several research papers in which researchers discussed the cultural dimensions of “the other” and the differences in their translation, in addition to other topics related to the field of artificial intelligence.
