University of Basrah Opens Its Doors to Private University Students to Explore Its Facilities
In an effort to enhance students’ knowledge and highlight the importance of scientific museums in supporting the educational and research process, the Natural History Museum at the University of Basrah received a group of students from Shatt Al-Arab University College.
The visit aimed to familiarize students with biodiversity and various natural environments, as well as to provide them with the opportunity to observe scientific specimens that contribute to linking theoretical knowledge with practical application and enhancing their environmental awareness.
The students toured the museum’s various halls, where they viewed biological models, taxidermied animals, and skeletal structures, while listening to scientific explanations presented by the museum staff on preservation and taxidermy methods and the importance of the exhibits in scientific and research studies.
This visit comes within the framework of scientific and educational cooperation between public and private academic institutions and reflects the Natural History Museum’s commitment to providing an educational environment that broadens students’ perspectives and enhances their scientific experience.
