University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Batteries as a Modern Source of Energy
The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on the use of batteries as a modern source of clean energy.
The workshop aimed to introduce the different types of batteries and their operating mechanisms, as well as conventional batteries and their role in the transition toward clean energy.
The workshop included a lecture delivered by Dr. Firas Mustafa Al-Khatib, who highlighted the major environmental risks associated with the increasing spread of batteries, the hazards linked to manufacturing and mining processes, challenges related to disposal methods, and policies aimed at mitigating environmental damage. The lecture also shed light on modern environmentally friendly batteries.
