University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Copyright After Death
The College of Law at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on copyright after death, explaining the extent to which moral and financial rights continue and are transferred to heirs.
The workshop aimed to highlight the role of laws in protecting these rights and achieving a balance between the interests of heirs and society's right to benefit from intellectual works.
The workshop included a lecture by Professor Muntadhar Rasen Hussein, who explained the extent to which rights associated with a work continue after the death of its author. He emphasized that copyright encompasses two aspects: a moral aspect and a financial aspect.
