University of Basrah Organizes Its Fifth Scientific Conference on Translation
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized its fifth scientific conference entitled “Translation in a Changing Technological World,” with the participation of three Iraqi universities.
The Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Majid Abdul Hamid Al-Kaabi, stated that the conference included several themes addressing the impact of artificial intelligence on translation studies, linguistics, and other related fields.
He added that the conference featured the presentation of several research papers in which researchers discussed the role of artificial intelligence and its influence on the aforementioned fields in improving machine translation tools, text analysis, and methods for dealing with expressions and sentences that are difficult to translate.
