University of Basrah Organizes a Scientific Workshop on Smart Technologies and Sustainable Agricultural Production
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Role of Smart Technologies in Enhancing Field Crop Productivity and Economic Feasibility,” with the participation of several faculty members and researchers.
The workshop aimed to introduce smart technologies used in field crop production, explain their role in improving production quality and increasing efficiency, and clarify the economic feasibility of adopting them in the agricultural sector.
The workshop, presented by Dr. Khawla Rashid Hassan, faculty member Anhar Mahmoud Jaaz, and faculty member Meraj Mustafa Mohammed, included a presentation of the most prominent modern technologies in agricultural production and mechanisms for employing them to increase production, improve quality, and reduce costs, thus supporting sustainable agricultural development.
