University of Basrah Organizes Seminar on the Role of Educational Guidance in Schools
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the College of Education for Women, organized a seminar entitled “The Role of Educational Guidance in Reducing Bullying in Schools and Society.”
The seminar, delivered by Dr. Rafif Abdulhafidh Al-Riyahi and Dr. Sahira Hussein Mohammed, aimed to introduce the concept of bullying and its various forms, as well as to explain the psychological and social factors leading to this phenomenon.
The seminar addressed the negative effects of bullying on both individuals and society, highlighting the role of educational guidance in preventing and addressing bullying. It also emphasized the importance of promoting a culture of respect and tolerance among students and strengthening cooperation between schools and families to reduce this phenomenon.
The seminar further discussed the role of both the family and the school in promoting positive behavior among students and presented practical methods and programs that contribute to reducing bullying within schools and society.
