University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Classification and Electronic Cataloging Skills
The College of Law at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on classification and electronic cataloging skills.
The workshop aimed to keep pace with the technological developments witnessed by university libraries. Through training in these skills, participants are enabled to use modern library software and accurately enter bibliographic data in accordance with international standards.
The workshop included a lecture delivered by faculty member Abeer Thamer Ibrahim, who explained methods of electronic classification, mechanisms for entering bibliographic data, and the use of modern software in managing digital libraries. The lecture also highlighted the importance of electronic cataloging in facilitating quick and accurate access to information.
