PhD Dissertation at the University of Basrah Examines the Investment Environment and Future Financial Models
The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah reviewed a PhD dissertation entitled “Analysis of Financial Variables in the Investment Environment Using Financial Models and Future Scenarios: A Case Study of Iraq.”
The dissertation, submitted by student Amjad Mohammed Fahd, aimed to analyze the impact of financial and institutional variables on the Iraqi investment environment from 2006 to 2024. It also focused on developing financial models and future scenarios to anticipate investment trends and assess their impact on the attractiveness of the national economy.
The dissertation employed econometric methods and advanced financial models to analyze economic and institutional indicators, as well as examining future scenarios related to investment.
The dissertation concluded that strengthening financial stability and good governance contribute to improving the investment environment, increasing the capacity to attract investments, and achieving sustainable development.
