University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Analyzing the Impact of the Sun in Architectural Projects
The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on analyzing the impact of the sun on architectural projects.
The workshop aimed to study the movement of the sun and its environmental and climatic effects on architectural design, its role in achieving energy efficiency, improving thermal comfort and natural lighting inside buildings, and employing appropriate design solutions that align with local climatic conditions.
The workshop included a lecture presented by Samar Ghalib Al-Asadi, a faculty member at the college, who highlighted the importance of integrating environmental analysis into the initial stages of architectural design to achieve more sustainable and efficient projects.
