University of Basrah Discusses the Role of Educational Guidance in the Era of Digital Media
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the College of Education for Women, organized a seminar entitled “Educational Guidance in the Age of New Media: How Can We Create Meaningful and Responsible Content?”
The seminar aimed to introduce the concept of new media and examine its psychological, educational, and social impact on students. It also sought to highlight the role of educational guidance in directing the use of social media platforms and promoting digital and ethical awareness.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Rafif Abdulhafidh Al-Riyahi and Dr. Sahira Hussein Mahmoud, discussed methods for creating purposeful educational content and explored the challenges facing educational counselors in the digital environment.
The seminar recommended strengthening digital awareness, enhancing the professional skills of educational counselors, and supporting the positive use of technology within educational institutions.
