University of Basrah Holds Excel Course
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a course titled "Excel Course."
The course aimed to develop trainees' skills in using Microsoft Excel for data management, organization, analysis, and report creation. It also covered the program's basic tools and functions, including the use of various functions and formulas, which contributes to increased work efficiency, improved decision-making, and leveraging the program's capabilities in data processing and analysis.
The course, presented by faculty member Hala Shaker Mahmoud, included several key topics: an introduction to Microsoft Excel, its importance, and applications; how to open and close the program using menus and keyboard shortcuts; an overview of the program's main screen components, including the title bar, quick access bar, formula bar, tab bar, worksheet, rows, columns, cells, and status bar; and an understanding of the program's main tabs and their functions, such as Home, Insert, and Page Layout. Continuing to offer training courses on Microsoft Excel, given its significant importance in the workplace, and encouraging employees to use the program for data organization and preparing administrative and statistical reports, as well as offering advanced courses covering pivot tables, charts, and data analysis.
Strengthening the practical and applied aspects to ensure trainees solidify their acquired skills and leverage the program's capabilities in data analysis and decision support.
Expanding the provision of training programs that integrate Excel, data analysis, and artificial intelligence.
