University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Electronic Classification Using the Dewey Decimal Classification System
The College of Law at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on electronic classification using the Dewey Decimal Classification system and its application in electronic systems.
The workshop aimed to develop the skills of university library staff in the field of electronic classification and cataloging, and to enhance knowledge organization mechanisms to keep pace with modern technological developments.
The workshop included a lecture presented by Abeer Thair Ibrahim, a faculty member at the college, who explained the principles of the Dewey Decimal Classification system and its application in modern electronic library systems, as well as demonstrating how to classify books and scientific resources according to established subjects.
