University of Basrah Holds Lecture on Introduction to Learning and Teaching in Medical Education
The Continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture as part of the first unit of the medical specialization track within the Eighth Teaching Methods Course. The lecture focused on an introduction to learning and teaching and the foundations for developing the educational process in the medical field.
The lecture aimed to provide trainees with an understanding of the philosophy of learning and teaching processes and to familiarize them with the fundamental concepts associated with both, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of their teaching performance.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Khadija Sami Madi and Dr. Mais Basil Jalil, who discussed the concepts of learning and teaching, the distinctions between them, and their various types. The presenters also reviewed the key pillars of the educational process and the factors influencing learning effectiveness. In addition, the session included individual and group activities, as well as educational assignments delivered through the electronic classroom platform.
