University of Basrah Holds First Meeting of University Presidency Department Directors to Enhance Administrative Procedures
The University of Basrah, under the chairmanship of the University President, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi, held the first periodic meeting of the directors of departments within the University Presidency for the 2025–2026 academic year. The meeting aimed to organize and improve mechanisms for responding to official correspondence while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in administrative performance.
The meeting commenced with a review of the University President’s directives, which emphasized the importance of advancing administrative practices and reducing routine procedures. Participants discussed the agenda items and stressed the need to adhere to the timeframes established by the Ministry for responding to official communications. They also examined solutions to the challenges faced by departments in drafting responses to ensure full compliance with applicable regulations and instructions.
The attendees further discussed mechanisms for strengthening coordination between the University Presidency and its constituent colleges and centers to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication. Departments were instructed to respond to inquiries from colleges within specified timeframes, particularly those related to no-objection letters for permanent staff members and non-conflict approvals for contract employees seeking to pursue postgraduate studies.
