University of Basrah Organizes Lecture on Cloud Seeding and Its Environmental Impact
The Natural History Museum at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture entitled “Cloud Seeding and Its Environmental Impact” as part of its activities aimed at promoting environmental awareness and keeping pace with scientific developments related to climate and natural resources.
The lecture aimed to introduce participants to cloud seeding technologies and highlight their role in enhancing water resources, addressing potential environmental impacts, and mitigating challenges associated with water scarcity and drought.
The lecture, delivered by Mr. Ali Muzhir Rahma, addressed several scientific topics, including the concept and history of cloud seeding, the materials used in cloud seeding operations, and the effectiveness of these technologies in increasing precipitation rates. It also discussed the environmental aspects associated with cloud seeding and the major challenges facing its implementation.
