PhD Dissertation at the University of Basrah Investigates the Role of Myristine in Treating Anemia in Rats
A PhD dissertation at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Basrah, investigated "The Enhanced Effect of Myristine on Blood Parameters in Phenylhydrazine-Induced Anemia in Male Rats."
The study, presented by student Firas Jabbar Tarish, aimed to investigate the role of myristine as a safe and natural treatment for hemolytic anemia and in improving blood parameters in male rats.
The study concluded that myristine plays an effective and beneficial role in improving blood parameters, oxidation, and inflammation, as well as at the tissue and cellular levels of bone marrow. It also demonstrated clear improvements in protecting red blood cells from phenylhydrazine-induced hemolysis.
