University of Basrah Holds Lecture on Measurement and Evaluation in Applied Specializations
The Continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture as part of the third unit of the Eighth Teaching Methods Course, addressing the topic of “Measurement and Evaluation in Applied Specializations.”
The lecture aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the concepts of measurement and evaluation and to develop their skills in designing assessment tools appropriate for applied disciplines.
The lecture, delivered by Dr. Zainab Ali Khalaf, reviewed various types of evaluation, methods for distinguishing among measurement tools, and the principles of constructing effective examinations. It also addressed approaches to formulating objective and essay-based questions in a manner that aligns with the nature and requirements of applied subjects.
