University of Basrah Holds Training Course on Leadership and Team Building Skills
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a training course entitled "Leadership and Team Building."
The course aimed to develop the leadership skills of participants and enhance their ability to build and manage work teams efficiently and effectively, contributing to achieving organizational goals and raising the level of institutional performance.
The course, presented by Dr. Iman Hato, included an introduction to the concept of leadership and its importance in contemporary organizations, a review of the most prominent leadership theories and their various styles, as well as an explanation of the characteristics and qualities of a successful leader. It also covered the concept of a team and the difference between a team and a group, the stages of building and developing work teams, the roles and responsibilities of team members, effective communication skills, conflict management within work teams, methods of motivating employees, and the role of leadership in promoting cooperation, trust, and achieving outstanding performance in the work environment.
