Faculty Members at the University of Basrah Publish Scientific Research in an International Journal

Faculty members at the Marine Science Center of the University of Basrah, Dr. Mohammed Mahdi Al-Mousawi and Dr. Wissam Razzaq Mutashar, in collaboration with other researchers, have published a scientific paper entitled “Polymer-Based Dune Stabilization for a Climate-Resilient Control of Active Desertification” in the journal "Natural and Engineering". The journal is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access publication that publishes research articles, review papers, and short communications in the fields of natural and engineering sciences and is indexed in the Scopus Q1 category.

The study aimed to provide an environmentally friendly solution for mitigating sand dune migration in areas vulnerable to desertification, particularly in regions adjacent to infrastructure where enhanced soil stabilization is required.
