Two Faculty Members from the University of Basrah Participate in a Chinese Language Course in Beijing
The Director of the Scientific Affairs Department at the Presidency of the University of Basrah, Dr. Muhannad Hamid Aboud, and the Director of the Dormitory Affairs Department at the University of Basrah, Muntadhar Juma Mahdi, participated in a scientific course on Chinese language and culture held in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.
Dr. Muhannad Hamid Aboud, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, stated that the course included the presentation of several research papers through which researchers discussed the customs and traditions of the Chinese people, in addition to addressing concepts of the Chinese language and the importance of mastering it for Arabic-speaking communities in light of the cultural openness currently witnessed worldwide across various technological, cultural, and economic fields.
