University of Basrah Supports the Al-Mandhouri Marsh Research Station and Calls for its Scientific and Environmental Rehabilitation
The University of Basrah demonstrated its support for the Al-Mandhouri Marsh Research Station by having the Director General of the Marine Science Center, Dr. Abdul Amir Rahim Jassim, visit the station and review its rehabilitation plans to enhance its scientific, tourism, and environmental performance.
The visit aimed to transform the station into a distinguished educational and tourism center and address service-related obstacles to contribute to activating its research role and serving the local community.
During the meeting with the station's director, Dr. Ahmed Yousef Al-Asadi, who presented a detailed report on the current work, maintenance procedures, and infrastructure rehabilitation, as well as outlining the technical plans for developing the station, the Director General of the Center emphasized the need to expedite the implementation of the development plans to ensure the station's return to high-efficiency operation. This will serve the scientific and environmental activities in the marshlands and support the Center's research objectives.
