University of Basrah Hosts Ministerial Committee to Evaluate and Enhance Research Quality Standards
The Director General of the Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah, Dr. Abdul Amir Rahim Jassim, received the ministerial committee tasked with evaluating research centers in Iraqi public and private universities according to the approved research center evaluation form. This visit underscores the university's commitment to quality standards and institutional accreditation.
The visit aimed to conduct a comprehensive field evaluation of the center, encompassing scientific, administrative, and infrastructural aspects, particularly the marine research laboratories. It also sought to verify the alignment of the center's research outputs with the national development plan in the areas of water resources and the marine environment.
During the meeting, the Director General affirmed the center's full readiness to provide the committee with all necessary resources. He highlighted the center's distinguished research achievements in the past and expressed his confidence that the evaluation would contribute to supporting scientific research and improving performance in accordance with the university's vision and the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
