Research Team at the University of Basrah Publishes a Scientific Paper in a Scopus-Indexed Journal
A research team comprised of researchers from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah, a researcher from the Kirkuk Health Department, and a researcher from the Basra Veterinary Hospital, published a scientific paper in the Slovakian journal Helminthologia.
Dr. Suzan Abdul-Jabbar, a member of the research team, stated, "The journal focuses on parasitology and is published by the Academic Institute of Parasitology in Slovakia. It is indexed in the third quartile (Q3) of Scopus with a CiteScore of 1.8 and is published by the Slovak-German publishing house De Gruyter Brill."
The team emphasized that the research is significant for the early diagnosis of hydatid cyst infection in the intermediate host through the detection of cell-free DNA in plasma.
