University of Basrah Holds Lecture on Teaching Ethics for Medical Students
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a lecture on teaching ethics for the sixth module of the eighth Teaching Methods course within the medical specialization.
The lecture aimed to identify practices that violate the teaching profession and the duties of instructors towards the institution, colleagues, and students.
The lecture, presented by Dr. Khadija Sami Madhi and Dr. Mays Basil Khalil, covered the definition of teaching ethics and the duties of instructors, as well as professional ethics in student assessment, practices that violate professional ethics, and the external and internal challenges facing the teaching profession.
The lecture concluded with a recommendation emphasizing the importance of adhering to teaching ethics in relation to the educational institution, between superiors and subordinates, as well as with colleagues and students, and creating an ideal environment for learning and development.
