University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Workers’ Rights Following the Termination of Employment Contracts
The College of Law at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on workers’ rights following the termination of employment contracts and the legal obligations arising therefrom under the applicable legislation.
The workshop aimed to promote legal awareness among employees and employers regarding their respective rights and obligations, while highlighting the legal safeguards established to protect workers’ financial and pension rights.
The workshop featured a lecture delivered by faculty member Mohammed Hasan Badr, who outlined the rights granted to workers upon the termination of their employment contracts in accordance with the provisions of the Iraqi Labour Law No. (37) of 2015 and the Social Security and Pension Law for Workers No. (18) of 2023.
