University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on the Legal Framework for Remote Employment Contracts
The College of Law at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on the legal framework governing remote employment contracts and the protection of the rights of the contracting parties.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the legal framework for remote employment contracts and the protection of the rights of all parties involved amid accelerating digital transformation and the growing adoption of non-traditional work patterns, particularly in light of technological advancements and the increasing reliance of institutions on modern communication technologies to regulate employment relationships.
The workshop featured a lecture delivered by faculty member Diyar Hattab Qasim, who discussed the regulation of remote employment contracts within national labour legislation and highlighted the importance of establishing clear rules governing working hours, electronic monitoring, and data protection.
