President of the University of Basrah Inspects the Colleges of Nursing, Al-Zahraa College of Medicine, and Fine Arts to Monitor the Progress of Academic and Service Operations
The President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi, conducted a field inspection tour that included the Colleges of Nursing, Al-Zahraa College of Medicine, and Fine Arts. This tour is part of the university administration's ongoing efforts to assess the current state of educational and administrative services and to develop the infrastructure of academic institutions.
The university president began his tour with a visit to the College of Nursing, where he met with the dean and faculty members and reviewed the practical training sessions in the medical and nursing laboratories. During the visit, he emphasized the importance of providing a comprehensive learning environment that ensures the development of students' skills, given their vital and direct role in supporting the health sector. He also directed that laboratory equipment and devices be updated to keep pace with scientific advancements.
In his second stop, Al-Asadi inspected the College of Al-Zahraa College of Medicine, where he observed the teaching process in classrooms and specialized laboratories. He reviewed the mechanisms for implementing modern medical curricula based on an integrated curriculum system, affirming that the college represents a fundamental pillar for graduating competent medical professionals who will meet the aspirations of the province.
The university president concluded his tour with a visit to the College of Fine Arts, where he toured its halls, galleries, and art workshops. He praised the impressive creative output of the faculty and students, expressing the university administration's continued support for the artistic and cultural movement on campus. He also discussed with the college administration ways to prepare and develop the main halls and theaters to accommodate upcoming activities and festivals.
At the end of the tour, Al-Asadi emphasized that fieldwork and direct communication are the fastest ways to overcome challenges and obstacles. He commended the efforts of the college deans and their teaching and support staff in maintaining the high standards of education and improving the university environment.
