University of Basrah Delivers Lecture on Quality in Higher Education for Humanities Specializations
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah delivered a lecture on quality in higher education for humanities specializations as part of the seventh module of the Eighth Teaching Methods Course.
The lecture aimed to deepen trainees’ understanding of the concept of Total Quality Management (TQM) in education, the principles and standards on which it is based, and the importance of applying these principles in teaching to achieve educational objectives.
Delivered by Dr. Samer Talib Dawood, the lecture covered several topics, including the concept of quality, the objectives of quality in education, and the standards for quality assurance in higher education.
The lecture recommended that trainees across both scientific and humanities disciplines adopt the principles of total quality in education and integrate them into all areas of professional and academic practice, emphasizing quality as a sustainable approach and an essential way of thinking.
