University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Situation Management and Problem Solving
The Basra and Arabian Gulf Studies Center at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education, organized a workshop entitled "Situation Management and Problem Solving in the Thought of Imam Ali (peace be upon him)."
The workshop aimed to highlight the administrative and intellectual approach of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) as a comprehensive model of wisdom and sound leadership, and to demonstrate his methods for managing situations and addressing crises according to a reformist vision based on justice and rationality.
The workshop, presented by Dr. Arwa Abdul-Wahid Raheem, included a discussion of the intellectual foundations upon which Imam Ali (peace be upon him) relied in diagnosing and addressing problems. His stances were characterized by intellectual balance, penetrating insight, and the ability to identify the true causes of crises before issuing judgments or making decisions. The workshop also addressed the administrative and humanitarian principles contained in Imam Ali's (peace be upon him) sermons and letters in Nahj al-Balagha, which are based on consultation, emotional control, fairness, and achieving the public good. It emphasized that this thought represents a pioneering model that can be utilized in modern management, decision-making, and crisis management across various institutions.
