University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Developing Skills for High-Quality International Scientific Publishing
The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah organized a training workshop on “Methods of Systematic Review and Writing Review Papers Using the PRISMA Protocol,” sponsored by the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, as part of the “Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation, and Society” initiative. The workshop was attended by a number of researchers and academics.
The workshop aimed to develop researchers' skills in preparing systematic reviews and writing review papers according to international standards, thereby contributing to raising the quality of scientific publications and enhancing research output.
The workshop, presented by Dr. Hussein Abdul Karim Younis, included a practical demonstration of the mechanisms for preparing systematic reviews using the PRISMA protocol. This covered everything from identifying the research problem and formulating the study questions, through database search strategies, study sorting and evaluation, and finally, analyzing and presenting the results according to international standards. Practical applications supported researchers in preparing high-quality review papers suitable for publication in international journals.
