Dean of the College of Physical Education at the University of Basrah Participates in Meeting of Deans of Colleges of Physical Education in Iraq
Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basrah, participated in a meeting of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in Iraqi universities, hosted by the University of Baghdad.
Dr. Haider Awfi Ahmed stated that the meeting discussed unifying curricula across colleges and explored ways to develop academic plans and programs. It also addressed several issues related to postgraduate studies, scientific research, academic program accreditation, and quality assurance, all aimed at enhancing the outcomes of higher education and meeting the demands of scientific advancement.
He added that participants emphasized the importance of continued coordination and integration among colleges of physical education and sports sciences in Iraq, and of unifying visions regarding academic issues. This will ensure the development of a modern educational system capable of keeping pace with international standards and preparing qualified scientific and professional personnel who will contribute to serving Iraqi sports and raising the level of its academic institutions.
