University of Basrah Organizes a Course on Financial Accounting
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah organized a training course on financial accounting.
The course aimed to enhance participants' theoretical and practical understanding of fundamental accounting concepts, such as assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses.
The course, presented by Dr. Ali Majid Hadi, covered several topics, including an introduction to financial accounting, the accounting cycle, and accounting records. It also included training on recording, posting, and balancing transactions, as well as an introduction to the components of financial statements.
The course further addressed generally accepted accounting principles, such as the accrual, matching, and historical cost principles, with practical applications to strengthen participants' practical skills.
