For the Second Consecutive Day, University of Basrah Dispatches Relief Convoys to Support Hussaini Processions at Al-Shalamcheh Border Crossing
University of Basrah has dispatched its second relief convoy to support the Hussaini processions serving pilgrims arriving through the Al-Shalamcheh Border Crossing on their way to the holy city of Karbala for the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
The second day’s convoy included the Colleges of Computer Science and Information Technology, Marine Science, and Pharmacy. The convoy delivered food supplies, fresh fruit, and drinking water to assist the processions providing services to pilgrims.
The President of the University, Professor Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi, stated that the University continues to dispatch relief convoys to support the Hussaini processions and serve pilgrims entering Iraq through the Al-Shalamcheh Border Crossing as part of its humanitarian responsibility toward the visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), while promoting the values of generosity, volunteerism, and community service.
