For the Third Consecutive Day, University of Basrah Continues Supporting Hussaini Processions at Shalamcheh Border Crossing
As part of its ongoing community engagement in supporting religious and humanitarian activities, University of Basrah dispatched its convoys for the third consecutive day to support the Hussaini processions at the Shalamcheh Border Crossing, providing services to pilgrims arriving to commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
The third day’s convoy included representatives from the Colleges of Science, Veterinary Medicine, Education/Qurna, Administration and Economics/Qurna, Law, and Fine Arts.
The President of the University, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem Al-Asadi, stated that the University’s mission extends beyond its academic role to include community service through supporting religious and social activities, including providing assistance to the Hussaini processions at the Shalamcheh Border Crossing that serve pilgrims participating in the Arbaeen commemoration.
He added that the University Presidency highly values the dedication of the University’s volunteers, whose efforts help strengthen the culture of social solidarity and community service across various fields.
