The dissertation, submitted by student Jaafar Hamed Manati, aimed to identify the effects of ginseng and chia on obese laboratory animals and compare them with the creatine supplement.
The dissertation comprised five chapters in which the student discussed the extraction and characterization of the active compounds from the medicinal plants using GC-MS technology, and studied the physiological, biochemical, and hormonal effects of chia seeds, ginseng roots, and the creatine supplement on obese rats.
