With the Mobilization of Its Staff, University of Basrah Continues Dispatching Convoys to Support Hussaini Processions
For the fourth consecutive day, University of Basrah continued dispatching its convoys to support the Hussaini processions at the Shalamcheh Border Crossing, providing services to pilgrims arriving in Basrah to commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), demonstrating an exceptional commitment that combines community service with the University’s academic mission.
The fourth day’s convoy included the College of Education for Human Sciences, College of Education for Women, College of Dentistry, College of Medicine, Al-Zahraa College of Medicine, and College of Nursing.
The President of the University, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem Al-Asadi, stated that the support convoys organized by the University this year have been distinguished by the provision of high-quality, free services to pilgrims.
He added that the University’s participation in this religious occasion reflects a humanitarian and national commitment, demonstrating the institution’s dedication to its role in serving the community.
It is worth noting that University of Basrah attracted the attention of pilgrims arriving in Basrah through the distribution of publications issued by the University, encouraging visitors to follow the example of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and reflect on the values of courage and sacrifice embodied in the enduring Battle of Karbala.
