University of Basrah Organizes Training Workshop on Systematic Review Methods
The College of Education for Women at the University of Basrah organized a training workshop on systematic review methods and writing review papers using the PRISMA 2020 protocol. This was the second workshop of its kind, supervised by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Khazal, and the Head of the Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation, and Societal Development Unit, Dr. Ali Ahmed, and attended by a number of researchers and academics.
The workshop, presented by Dr. Hussein Abdul-Kareem Younis, aimed to develop researchers' skills in preparing systematic reviews and review papers according to PRISMA 2020 standards, thereby enhancing the quality of research and increasing the chances of publication in international scientific journals.
The workshop covered the stages of preparing a systematic review, starting with defining the research problem and formulating research questions, through research, selecting studies, and evaluating their quality, culminating in analyzing and presenting the results. Practical applications of the PRISMA protocol were also provided.
