University of Basrah Council Holds Its 15th Open Session to Discuss Academic and Scientific Affairs
The University of Basrah Council, chaired by Prof. Dr. Aqeel Fadhil Al-Dahan, held its 15th open morning session in the presence of the University’s Assistant Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, the Council Secretary, and its members.
The session opened with a discussion of the directives issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, alongside the University Presidency’s vision for advancing academic work and strengthening scientific research.
During the meeting, the Council reviewed the scheduled agenda, which included discussions on scientific and administrative affairs and mechanisms for advancing scientific research. It also addressed a number of matters concerning undergraduate and postgraduate students, in accordance with the ministerial regulations and instructions.
Al-Dahan stated that the University is steadily progressing towards achieving comprehensive academic quality, noting that the outcomes of the regular University Council meeting were aimed at enhancing the efficiency of academic and administrative performance and elevating scientific research to the level of leading global universities.
