University of Basrah Opens Teaching Clinics to Receive Citizens
The teaching clinics at the College of Dentistry, University of Basrah, have opened to receive citizens during the summer training period, from August 16, 2026, to September 16, 2026. This initiative aims to enhance the college's service and community role, providing students with the opportunity to apply their clinical skills practically under the supervision of professors and specialist doctors, and with direct oversight from the college's deanship.
The clinics offer a range of dental services, including diagnosis, extraction, and fillings, as well as pediatric dentistry. All necessary supplies are provided to ensure the professional and organized delivery of services.
The college clarified that services offered during the summer training period will be provided at nominal or nearly free prices. Services will be offered free of charge to families of Popular Mobilization Forces members, wounded members of the security forces, and security personnel. This approach combines clinical training for students with the provision of medical care to the public.
