University of Basrah Holds Development Course on Mind Engineering and Public Opinion Management
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at University of Basrah held a development course titled “Engineering the Human Mind for Public Opinion Management.”
The course aimed to introduce participants to the concepts of mind engineering and the mechanisms used to influence thinking and behavior and shape public attitudes.
The course, presented by Dr. Firas Hassan Abdul-Hussein, addressed social conformity, group influence, repetition, the role of digital and visual media, opinion polls, social data analysis, and media campaigns.
It also included practical applications for analyzing political, economic, social, and ethical phenomena, highlighting the role of leaders, institutions, and families in promoting critical awareness and distinguishing between positive and negative forms of influence.
