University of Basrah Begins Security Screening Procedures for Postgraduate Students for the 2026/2027 Academic Year
The Security Clearance and Follow-up Department at University of Basrah began receiving postgraduate students admitted for the 2026/2027 academic year to complete the security screening form and fulfill the official admission requirements. The procedures are being conducted at Al-Sayyab Hall in the University Presidency building.
The procedures include receiving students according to a scheduled timetable from Sunday, August 23, 2026, to Tuesday, September 1, 2026, provided that they bring the required documents.
The Assistant Director of the Security Clearance and Follow-up Department stated that the department’s administrative and technical staff had mobilized their efforts to provide an organized environment inside the hall, ensuring the prompt processing of students’ applications and the accuracy of document review and screening.
He noted that the reception process was carried out according to a flexible work plan, with tasks distributed to ensure smooth movement and prevent delays. He emphasized that security screening is a fundamental requirement for completing admission procedures and issuing official university admission orders for accepted students.
