Master's Thesis at the University of Basra Examines Disputes Related to Electronic Payment Services
A master's thesis at the College of Law, University of Basrah, examined the applicable law in disputes involving electronic payment service providers: a comparative study.
The thesis, submitted by student Zainab Mohammed Jassim, aims to provide a legal framework for addressing disputes related to electronic payment service providers, given the significant development of electronic transactions, particularly electronic payment services, and the often international and cross-border nature of these services.
The thesis comprises four chapters in which the student discusses the legal challenges arising from disputes between providers and clients concerning service provision, due to the inadequacy of traditional conflict-of-laws rules in this area.
