Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Investigates Green Coagulants and Wastewater
A master's thesis at the College of Science, University of Basrah, investigated the use of green coagulants in removing certain pigments from wastewater.
The thesis, submitted by student Zahraa Aqeel Issa, aimed to extract natural coagulants from some local plants and algae and evaluate their effectiveness in removing turbidity, color, and suspended solids from hospital wastewater.
The thesis comprised four chapters in which the student discussed the extraction of the coagulants, the selection of the most suitable ones to achieve optimal initial results, and their application to wastewater.
