PhD Dissertation at the University of Basrah Investigates the Linear and Nonlinear Stability of Certain Convection Problems
A PhD dissertation at the College of Science, University of Basrah, investigated the linear and nonlinear instability of certain convection problems in layers of a complex porous medium.
The dissertation, submitted by student Sanaa Lafteh Khalaf, aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of stability and an in-depth examination of different types of convection (thermal, solute, reactive, thermal-solute, and diffusion).
The dissertation comprises five chapters in which the student discussed the formulation of the governing equations based on the principles of fluid mechanics and chemical kinetics, incorporating momentum transfer.
